In the best interest of all the students, and to ensure a quality ensemble, NCMEA maintains a strict participation policy. Students must be in attendance to all rehearsals. Students must sign a participation contract which states that they will observe the attendance requirement, be punctual, positively represent themselves and their school, maintain proper rehearsal etiquette, and show respect to the facilities of the hosting school. Students who are in violation of any NCMEA regulations are subject to removal from the festival and may not be invited to future NCMEA activities.
All students will be expected to participate in seating auditions for placement within their section. Seating will be determined based upon a student's preparation of the festival music. All decisions of the seating judge(s) are final.
Concert dress for every All-County group is black from "hip to heels" and white on top. Ladies should wear a long black dress, skirt, or pants with black tights or socks covering any exposed skin. Dress attire includes black dress shoes. No sandals or sneakers please! Gentlemen should wear long black dress pants with black socks, black shoes, white shirt and long dark tie.
Tickets will be available at the door on the day of the performance.
